Doruk Madencilik işçilerinin Yıldızlar SSS Holding önündeki eylemi sürüyor… İşçilerden Cumhurbaşkanı Erdoğan’a çağrı: “Madencinin sesini duyun”

In Ankara, Doruk Madencilik, owned by Yıldızlar SSS Holding, has been the site of a strike that entered its 30th day. Workers from the Türkiye Maden‑İş Sendikası sit in an occupation outside the holding, demanding that all unpaid wages be settled and that the mine be transferred to KİAŞ for renewed operation. They have addressed President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, urging the nation to “hear the voice of the miners.”

During the sit‑in, the miners repeatedly struck their helmets to the ground while shouting slogans such as “Hak, hukuk, adalet,” “Madenciye işkence, holdinglere el pençe,” and “Hakkımızı almadan eve dönüş yok.” They carried placards reading “Doruk Maden mağdurları,” “Cumhurbaşkanı sesimizi duy,” and “Sesimizi duyan var mı?” and were joined by passing motorists who honked in support. The demonstrators also stated that 580 workers have been left unemployed since 2023 due to the company’s payment issues.

Murat Kaya explained that the delay in payments has prevented his son from covering school supplies and has left the family without sufficient resources, while Erdal Çeliker said the irregular wages forced him to leave the mine in 2025 to care for his chronically ill, 6‑year‑old twin son in Bartın. Özkan Özmen added that if KİAŞ takes over the mine, the site could employ around two thousand people and provide food for six to seven thousand families. Selim Arslan reported that partial payments have already been made but the remaining dues are still pending, and that the union has submitted proposals to the Ministry of Labour and Social Security and the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources.
